Scorbit: What is your most meaningful professional accomplishment to date?
Rachel Dziezynski: Being selected as a volunteer for the Game Developer’s Conference in 2014 was hugely motivating and really helped me to develop my career. It was amazing to be able to meet and work with so many remarkable people from all parts of the game industry, but more importantly, it was a fantastic reminder about why I love the game industry as much as I do!

Scorbit: What interests you about training?
RD: I know for certain that I wouldn’t be where I am without all of the help that I received from many people along the way, so I’m always excited about sharing what I’ve learned and helping others the same way! It’s still a bit difficult to find information on getting started with creating audio for visuals, so I hope that I can be a reliable resource to help people reach their goals.

Scorbit: Where do you see the game industry going?
RD: I’m very excited about the development of the indie scene in gaming. Big companies and AAA games are important and will always have their place, but it feels to me like the games that take the most risks and are the most innovative come more from the smaller teams. I think that the indie scene will continue to remain an important part of the industry – which is also great for us composers and sound designers, since it means more work!
